Pelham Community

Pelham is a historic African American community established in circa 1866.  It's on Farm Road 744 east of Hill County line and around 25 miles west of Corsciana, Texas.
The Porter family is one of the first settlers of Pelham.
There are three churches in the Pelham community pictured below, each with rich history. A museum was built to house various articles of the pioneering families.
